Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer a complimentary consultation?
Yes. I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation where we'll discuss what brings you to therapy, what you're hoping to gain from the process, and whether working together feels like the right fit. It's also an opportunity for you to ask any questions before getting started.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. I am in network with select insurance plans, including Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Oscar, and Oxford.
Because coverage varies by plan, I encourage you to reach out before scheduling. I'd be happy to answer your questions and help you determine your coverage.
Do you offer virtual or in-person therapy?
I offer secure telehealth sessions for clients located in New York and New Jersey, as well as limited in-person appointments at the Flatiron office.
Who do you work with?
I provide individual and couples therapy for adults navigating a variety of concerns, including anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, trauma, self-esteem, burnout, and personal growth.
Every person brings a unique story to therapy, and I tailor treatment to your individual goals and needs.
What can I expect during the first session?
We'll discuss what brings you to therapy, explore your goals, and review any relevant background information. Together, we'll begin creating a personalized plan for our work together. There's no pressure to share everything at once. Therapy moves at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
What is your therapeutic approach?
I believe therapy is most effective when it feels collaborative, compassionate, and personalized. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices while recognizing that every client's experiences, strengths, and goals are unique. Together, we'll work to better understand the patterns that shape your life, develop practical tools for change, and create meaningful, lasting growth.
How long are therapy sessions?
Individual and couples therapy sessions are typically 45–50 minutes.
How often will we meet?
Most clients begin with weekly sessions, as consistency helps build momentum and supports meaningful progress. As therapy evolves, we'll discuss together whether a different schedule is appropriate based on your goals and needs.
What is your cancellation policy?
Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed appointments, may be charged the full session fee.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes. Your privacy is important. Everything discussed in therapy is confidential, with a few exceptions required by law. We'll review these together during our first session so you know exactly what to expect.
